Hon John Mututho through The John Mututho Empowerment Centre Has Partnered With Nakuru County Government To Look For Ways To Address And Transform The Lives Of Street Families.

Hon John Mututho through his John Mututho Empowerment Centre (JOMEC) has partnered with Nakuru County Government together with a diverse group of stakeholders, including The Diamond Trust Bank (DTB),Law Society of Kenya, Probation Officers, County Commissioner, County Police Commander, and Department of Children Services, to look for ways to address and transform the lives of Street Families.

During a meeting attended by County Secretary Dr. Samuel Mwaura at the County Headquarters, County Executive for Youth, Sports, Gender, Social Services, and Inclusivity, Josephine Atieno revealed that the County intends to take a holistic strategy that addresses the many challenges faced by this vulnerable group as envisaged by Governor Susan Kihika.

This comprehensive approach involves treatment, rehabilitation, empowerment, reintegration and the monitoring and evaluation of this individuals. And to expedite this program, the County Secretary Dr. Samuel Mwaura, proposed the signing of an MOU and assured of the County’s commitment to this partnership.

The meeting was attended by Chief Officers, Pastor Alex Maina (Youth, Sports, Talents, and Resource Mobilization), Gladys Kamuren (Gender, Social Services, and Inclusivity), and Hon Kibet Kurgat (Cooperatives) representatives from the Law Society of Kenya, DTB, and the former NACADA Chairman Mr John Mututho and Stephen Muli the Chairman, City Board.
